COLLECTION OF PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
You may access and read most material on Bamboo Sunrise’s Web site without giving us any information that identifies you. However, when you engage in certain activities on this site, such as seeking and receiving access to protected areas, authorizations or licenses to use the copyrighted material of the copyright rights holder we represent, we may ask you or collect certain information about yourself and/or your organization by filling out and submitting an online form or through the application of cookies. It is optional for you to access these areas.
Should you choose to take advantage of our services, we may require that you provide us with personally identifiable information, such as your name, organization name, mailing address, e-mail address and other identifying information. BAMBOO SUNRISE collects all of this information in order to record and support your licensing and other activities. For example, we may use the information you provide to verify the details of a license issued to you or to keep you informed about our products, services, and/or send newsletters. We may supplement the information you provide with commercially available demographic and address information in order to enhance our ability to service you.
Please note that in some cases you may access Bamboo Sunrise’s services through the Web site of a participating copyright rights holder, such as a publisher, or one of our integration partners, such as a course management system provider. In those cases, you will be directed to a Web page within a BAMBOO SUNRISE Web site, and it is BAMBOO SUNRISE that will be collecting your information, even though you may continue to see the copyright rights holder’s branding or logo. BAMBOO SUNRISE will share information with the copyright rights holder as described in the Use of Personally Identifiable Information section of this Privacy Policy.
USE OF PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
BAMBOO SUNRISE shares the information that you provide to us in accordance with our obligations to copyright rights holders to identify uses of their copyrighted materials. These obligations vary from BAMBOO SUNRISE program to program. Details about such obligations under any particular BAMBOO SUNRISE program are available upon request. BAMBOO SUNRISE does NOT, however, share information with copyright rights holders (i) about credit card details, or (ii) about the use of OTHER copyright rights holders' copyrighted materials.
If you have identified yourself, or are identified by your employer to BAMBOO SUNRISE as being associated with a BAMBOO SUNRISE-participating organization, you may receive promotional communications from BAMBOO SUNRISE either directly from us or through your participating organization. Further, when you use your organization's credit card or BAMBOO SUNRISE billing account to transact business with us, the organization will receive information about the materials you have used and reported to BAMBOO SUNRISE. Similarly, in circumstances where multiple individuals associated with the same organization share a single BAMBOO SUNRISE account or a single user name and password, each individual may have access to information provided by the other individuals on the same account.
Please note that we may use outside shipping and printing companies to fulfill orders, and a credit card processing company to bill you for goods and services. These companies are not authorized by BAMBOO SUNRISE to retain, share, store or use the personally identifiable information that they receive from BAMBOO SUNRISE for any other purposes. These companies are authorized to use your personally identifiable information only as necessary to provide these services to us.
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process.
If BAMBOO SUNRISE is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of your personally identifiable information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personally identifiable information.
BAMBOO SUNRISE recognizes and appreciates the importance of the responsible use of your personally identifiable information. Except as disclosed above or in published lists of consenting customers, we do not release or sell lists of our customer names to outside organizations. Further, your personally identifiable information is password-protected to prevent unauthorized access to it. USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES
When you visit BambooSunrise.net or any other BAMBOO SUNRISE Web site, you can surf the site without revealing your identity. In order to improve our sites and our services, we use "cookies" to track your visit. A cookie is a small string of data that is transferred to your browser from a Web site and can only be read by the Web site that gave it to you. As with most Web sites, BAMBOO SUNRISE also gathers certain information automatically and stores it in log files. We also employ a software technology called pixel tags (also known as Web beacons) that help us better manage content on our Web site and in other electronic communications by indicating what content is most effective. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on your computer's hard drive, pixel tags are embedded invisibly in Web pages and in other electronic communications.

The use of cookies by our partners, affiliates, tracking utility company and service providers is not covered by our privacy policy. Our tracking utility company and service providers use both session ID and persistent cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site, in order for you to use the shopping cart and place orders.
We partner with a third party ad network to manage our advertising on other sites. Our ad network partner uses cookies and Web beacons to collect non-personally identifiable information about your activities on this and other Web sites to provide you targeted advertising based upon your interests.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Our Web site includes Social Media, such as the Facebook and Twitter buttons or interactive mini-programs that run on our site. These Social Media features may collect your IP address, locate the page you are visiting on our site, and they may set a cookie to enable the Social Media to function properly. Social Media are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. Your interactions with these Social Media are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.

You have the right to opt out of receiving marketing communications and newsletters from BAMBOO SUNRISE by following the "unsubscribe" instructions that come with each message from us. When we make any material change to this Privacy Policy, we will inform you by email (sent to the e-mail address specified in your account) or by posting a notice on the homepage of bamboosunrise.net prior to the change becoming effective. We will post a notice on our homepage for 30 days, thereafter, stating that the policy has been updated and we will change the date on this page, noting when the policy was last updated.
